Privacy Policy
Effective: October 24, 2026. Last updated: October 24, 2026.
Strategic Peace, Inc. ("Strategic Peace," "we," "us," or "our") operates strategicpeace.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers the Site and the forms, purchases, and emails connected with it. It does not cover third-party sites, including mediators' own websites and booking pages.
1. Information We Collect
Visitors. You can search the directory without an account. We do not collect inquiries for mediators: "Contact now" links go straight to the mediator, and the mediator's own practices govern anything you send them.
Mediator listings. Unclaimed profiles use public business information (name, city, county, credential, website, and public business phone) from public sources, and each profile shows its source and date. When a mediator claims or submits a profile, we also collect the information the mediator provides, such as a bio, photo, office locations, booking link, and contact email.
Forms. Through our forms (claim a profile, list yourself, suggest a mediator, attorney review, removal, and contact), we collect only what you submit, such as your name, email address, and profile details. For attorney reviews, we collect your bar state and bar number solely to verify you, and we never publish them.
Purchases. If you buy Featured placement or a kit, Link (Stripe's merchant-of-record service) collects your payment details, email address, and billing information under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, what you bought, payment status, and order ID. We never receive your full card number.
Email. We keep messages you send us and our replies.
Technical data. Our service providers collect technical data, such as IP address, browser type, device information, and request data, when you interact with their services (see Sections 3 and 5).
Information we ask you not to send. We do not seek sensitive personal data. Please do not send Social Security numbers, financial account details, health information, information about children, or confidential mediation communications through any form or review.
2. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- operate the directory and display listings;
- process claims, submissions, suggestions, and removal requests, and verify reviewers;
- moderate and publish reviews;
- deliver purchases and download links and answer order questions;
- manage Featured subscriptions and send transactional messages, such as confirmations and renewal, cancellation, and price-change notices;
- send marketing email where the law permits, subject to your right to opt out;
- secure the Site and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse; and
- comply with law, meet tax and accounting obligations, and enforce our Terms of Use.
We do not use personal information for profiling or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
3. How We Disclose Information
Service providers. We disclose personal information to service providers that process it on our behalf and only for the services they provide to us:
- Formspree, which processes form submissions;
- Stripe and Link, which process payments and subscriptions (Link acts as merchant of record and also handles your data under its own privacy policy);
- Resend, which delivers download and other transactional emails;
- Cloudflare, which hosts the Site, provides security, and stores kit files privately (R2 storage);
- Zoho, which provides our mailbox; and
- YouTube, which serves embedded videos in privacy-enhanced mode, only when you play a video.
Public content. Listing content and approved reviews appear publicly on the Site.
Legal and safety. We may disclose information when the law, a subpoena, or a court order requires it, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Strategic Peace, our users, or others.
Business transfers. If Strategic Peace takes part in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, we may transfer personal information to the successor, which must honor this Privacy Policy for the information transferred.
With your consent. We may disclose information for any other purpose with your consent.
4. No Sale, No Targeted Advertising
We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising, or exchange it for anything of value, and we have not done so in the past 12 months. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined in Nev. Rev. Stat. ch. 603A.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking Signals
We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies on strategicpeace.com. Some third-party services we use set their own cookies or collect technical data when you interact with them: Stripe and Link at checkout, YouTube when you play an embedded video, and Formspree when you submit a form. Our host, Cloudflare, logs basic request data and may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect the Site.
Because we do not track you across sites or sell or share personal information, our practices already match the preferences that browser "Do Not Track" and Global Privacy Control signals express. Before we add any analytics or advertising tools, we will update this policy, and we will honor Global Privacy Control signals as a request to opt out of sale, sharing, and targeted advertising.
6. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:
- Form submissions and email correspondence: up to 2 years after receipt, unless we need them longer for an active listing, an open dispute, or a legal obligation.
- Bar numbers: until verification is complete, then deleted.
- Claimed listing content and approved reviews: while published; after removal, under the 2-year schedule above.
- Removal records: a minimal record (name and listing identifier) for as long as necessary to keep a removed listing from reappearing.
- Purchase records and order IDs: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Marketing opt-outs: indefinitely, so we can honor them.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including private file storage, expiring download links, and limited access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Wherever you live in the United States, you may ask us to:
- confirm whether we process your personal information and give you access to it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- give you a copy of your information in a portable format; and
- stop sending you marketing email.
How to submit a request. Email [email protected] or use our contact form. Mediators may also remove a listing at any time through Remove my listing.
Verification and agents. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address we have on file, and we use any verification information only for that purpose. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with your written permission, and we may verify both the agent's authority and your identity.
Timing. We respond within 45 days. When reasonably necessary, we may extend that period once by an additional 45 days, and we will tell you if we do.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying "Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general; Texas residents may file a complaint with the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
Limits. We may keep information that the law requires us to keep or that we need to complete a transaction, maintain security, or establish or defend legal claims. If you ask Link to delete your data, Link will also cancel any active subscription.
No discrimination. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
9. Marketing Email
Every marketing email from us includes an unsubscribe link that works for at least 30 days after we send it. We process opt-outs promptly, and always within 10 business days, and we never sell or share opted-out addresses. After you opt out, you will still receive transactional messages, such as receipts from Link and notices about an active subscription or a purchase.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please do not submit information about children in forms or reviews. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us, and we will delete it.
11. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Site links to mediators' websites, booking pages, and other third-party services. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle your information, and we are not responsible for their practices.
12. Location of Processing
We operate the Site from the United States and intend it for users in the United States. We and our service providers process and store information in the United States and, for some providers, other countries.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date. If we make a material change, we will post a notice on the Site and email account holders and subscribers before the change takes effect. We will not use previously collected personal information in a materially different way without your consent where the law requires consent.
