Terms of Use
Effective: October 24, 2026. Last updated: October 24, 2026.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of strategicpeace.com and its pages, forms, and services (the "Site"), operated by Strategic Peace, Inc., a Texas corporation ("Strategic Peace," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, submitting a form, claiming or submitting a listing, posting a review, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. If you use the Site on behalf of a firm or other business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it to these Terms, and "you" includes that business.
1. Use of the Site
1.1 Permitted use. You may use the directory to search for mediators for personal or professional purposes.
1.2 Prohibited use. You may not:
- (a) scrape, crawl, bulk-copy, or systematically download the directory or its listings, by automated means or otherwise;
- (b) reproduce listings for a competing directory, a marketing or contact list, or the training, fine-tuning, or evaluation of any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model;
- (c) submit false, misleading, or impersonating content, including fake reviews, reviews of your own services, or reviews of a competitor;
- (d) harass, threaten, or defame any person;
- (e) interfere with the Site's security or operation, or attempt to access non-public areas, kit files, or another person's download link; or
- (f) use the Site in violation of any law.
2. Listings, Reviews, and Submitted Content
2.1 Unclaimed listings. Unclaimed listings contain public business facts from public sources, and each listing shows its source and date.
2.2 Claimed and submitted listings. By claiming or submitting a listing, you confirm that you are the mediator named or have authority to act for that mediator, and that the content is accurate and current. You agree to keep it current.
2.3 Listing license. You grant Strategic Peace a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, format, and promote your listing content on the Site and in search-engine previews that link to the Site. The license ends when the listing is removed, except for cached copies outside our control and backup records we keep under our Privacy Policy.
2.4 Rights in your content. You confirm that you own or have permission to use every photo, logo, and item of text you submit, and that your content does not infringe or violate anyone's rights.
2.5 Reviews. Reviews must reflect the reviewer's honest, first-hand experience. Reviews must not disclose anything said or written in a mediation; those communications are confidential under Tex. Civ. Prac. & Rem. Code § 154.073 and comparable laws of other states. We hold reviews for moderation and apply our Review Policy evenly to positive and negative reviews. We remove reviews that disclose confidential mediation communications, reveal personal information about another person, are fake or written under a conflict of interest, or otherwise violate the Review Policy. Nothing in these Terms restricts your right to post an honest review or imposes any penalty or fee for doing so.
2.6 Review license. By submitting a review or other content, you grant Strategic Peace a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, moderate, format, and distribute it on the Site and in search-engine previews. You may ask us to remove your review at any time.
2.7 Third-party content. Mediators and reviewers, not Strategic Peace, author the content they submit. We do not verify all third-party content and are not responsible for it, but we may edit it for format, decline it, or remove it if it violates these Terms.
3. Directory Disclaimers
Strategic Peace is a directory. It is not a law firm, a mediator, or a lawyer referral service. We do not recommend, endorse, rank, or match mediators, and Featured placement is paid advertising, not an endorsement. Listing data comes from public sources and from mediators and may be out of date; verify credentials directly with the mediator or the credentialing body. Nothing on the Site is legal advice. Using the Site or contacting a mediator creates no attorney-client or mediator-client relationship with Strategic Peace. We are not a party to any mediation. See also our Disclaimer and Review Policy.
4. Listing Order and Paid Placement
Strategic Peace offers optional Featured placement for a flat monthly fee (see Section 5). Featured listings appear first and carry the label "Featured (paid placement)." All other listings appear alphabetically by last name. Featured placement never affects reviews, ratings, their order, or the order of non-Featured listings.
5. Featured Listings and Subscription
5.1 What Featured is. Featured is an optional paid advertising placement for mediators who practice in Texas. Featured listings appear first in search, city, and practice-area results, carry the label "Featured (paid placement)," and may display a photo, bio, booking button, additional office locations, and a "Virtual available" indicator. Basic listings remain free.
5.2 Price and billing. Featured costs $29.00 per month, plus applicable taxes calculated at checkout. By subscribing, you authorize a charge on the day you subscribe and on the same calendar day of each following month (or the last day of any month that has no such day) until you cancel. Section 6 contains the payment terms.
5.3 Automatic renewal and consent. Your subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price until you cancel. Before you enter billing information, checkout displays the price, the billing frequency, these automatic-renewal terms, and how to cancel. You must check an unchecked box to give your express consent to automatic renewal before we charge you. After you subscribe, we email you a confirmation that states these terms and explains how to cancel, and you receive a renewal reminder at least once a year.
5.4 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee, by (1) using the "Manage subscription" link in your Link receipt or at link.com, or (2) emailing [email protected] from the email address on the account. We confirm every cancellation by email. Cancellation stops all future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your listing stays Featured until then. If you remove your listing, Featured ends and your subscription cancels when the listing comes down, and no refund applies to the rest of that billing period except as stated in Section 5.5.
5.5 Refunds. Monthly Featured fees are non-refundable, and we do not prorate partial months, except:
- (a) where applicable law requires a refund;
- (b) where we or Link issue a refund under Link's payment-support policies; or
- (c) where we end Featured or remove your listing for any reason other than your breach of these Terms, in which case we refund the unused portion of the current month.
5.6 Price changes. We will email you notice of any price change 30 days before it takes effect, with instructions for canceling. The new price applies to your first renewal after the notice period unless you cancel before then.
5.7 No effect on reviews or ratings. Payment never affects which reviews we publish, how we moderate them, star ratings or averages, or their order. You cannot pay to remove, hide, or delay a review. Featured status does not change credential or practice-area information.
5.8 No endorsement. Featured placement is advertising. It is not a ranking, rating, recommendation, certification, or endorsement by Strategic Peace, and it does not mean that any credentialing body, bar association, or court endorses you or us.
5.9 No referral and no fee-sharing. Strategic Peace does not refer clients. Clients contact and book with you directly. The Featured fee is a flat advertising fee; it does not depend on leads, referrals, bookings, cases, or outcomes, and Strategic Peace receives no share of your mediation or legal fees. Attorney-mediators remain responsible for their own compliance with the rules of professional conduct of every jurisdiction in which they hold a license, including rules on advertising and on payment for recommendations.
5.10 Your Featured content. You confirm that your photo, bio, booking link, and other Featured content are accurate and current and that you have the rights to them. We may decline or remove specific content that is false or misleading or that violates these Terms; removing specific content does not end Featured. If we end Featured because of your breach, Section 5.5(c) does not apply.
5.11 Welcome bundle. Featured may include a welcome bundle of Texas-only educational kits, which we provide under the license in Section 7. Receiving them does not affect reviews or placement order.
6. Payments
Stripe processes payments through Link, which acts as the merchant of record (seller of record) for your purchase. Checkout shows "Sold through Link," and your card statement shows "LINK.COM*" followed by our descriptor. Link sends your receipt, provides payment and subscription support, and calculates and collects applicable taxes. Link's terms and privacy policy also govern the payment transaction. Strategic Peace remains responsible for delivering the listing or kit you buy.
7. Digital Kits: Delivery and License
7.1 Delivery. Kits ($29 / $59) are digital downloads. After payment, we email a personal download link from [email protected] (sent through our email provider, Resend) to the address you gave at checkout. The link works for 7 days; please download and save your files. If a link expires or fails to arrive, or if you lose your files, email [email protected] from your purchase email address, and we will send a new link at no charge for 12 months after purchase.
7.2 Refunds. Because we deliver kits immediately, sales are final once you download the kit, except where applicable law requires a refund or where we or Link issue a refund. If a kit file is defective or will not open, contact us and we will replace it.
7.3 License. We license kits; we do not sell them. Mediation Ready kits are licensed for the purchaser's own household and own matters. The Mediator Starter Kit is licensed for use in the purchaser's own mediation practice. You may use and adapt a kit within that license, but you may not resell, republish, or share the kit or your download link. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
7.4 Not legal advice. THE KITS ARE NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE ADVICE OF AN ATTORNEY. Kits provide general educational information about Texas law and practice; they are not legal advice and may not fit your situation or the law of any other state. Buying or using a kit creates no attorney-client relationship with Strategic Peace or anyone else. Non-attorney mediators should not draft or complete the Starter Kit's agreement forms for parties; doing so may constitute the unauthorized practice of law under Tex. Gov't Code § 81.101 and comparable laws of other states.
8. Removal
Mediators may request removal at any time through Remove my listing, and we process removal requests promptly. Section 5.4 governs removal of a Featured listing.
9. Intellectual Property and Copyright Complaints
9.1 Our content. Strategic Peace or its licensors own the Site's design, text, software, compilation of listings, and kits, and the law protects them. These Terms grant you no license except the rights they expressly state.
9.2 Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice that meets the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) to our designated Copyright Agent: Copyright Agent, Strategic Peace, Inc., 6710 Spring Stuebner Rd, Ste 709 #450, Spring, TX 77389; [email protected]. We remove infringing content and, in appropriate circumstances, terminate the listings and access of repeat infringers.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access to the Site; decline or remove a listing, review, or other content; or end a Featured subscription if you breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or if necessary to protect the Site, its users, or others. Section 5.5 governs any refund. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination survive it, including Sections 2.6, 3, 7.3, 7.4, 9, and 11 through 18.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
WE PROVIDE THE SITE, LISTINGS, REVIEWS, AND KITS "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STRATEGIC PEACE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LISTING INFORMATION IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT OR THAT THE SITE WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR ERROR.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (a) STRATEGIC PEACE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA; AND (b) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SITE, A LISTING, A REVIEW, OR A PURCHASE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR $100. THIS SECTION DOES NOT LIMIT LIABILITY FOR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR ANY LIABILITY THAT APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT PERMIT US TO LIMIT.
Nothing in these Terms waives or limits your rights under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act, Tex. Bus. & Com. Code §§ 17.41–.63, or under any consumer-protection law of your state of residence that does not permit waiver by contract.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Strategic Peace and its officers, directors, and agents against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable attorney's fees arising from (a) content you submit, including listing content, photos, and reviews, or (b) your breach of these Terms or violation of law.
14. Informal Resolution
Before filing any claim, the party asserting it will give the other party written notice describing the claim and the relief sought, and both parties will try in good faith to resolve it informally for 30 days and will consider mediation. Send notice to [email protected] and to our mailing address in Section 18; we will send notice to the email address on your account or purchase. All applicable limitations periods are tolled during the 30-day period. This Section does not apply to small-claims actions or to requests for injunctive relief to stop scraping, misuse of kits, or infringement.
15. Governing Law and Venue
Texas law governs these Terms and any dispute relating to the Site, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the rest of this Section, the state and federal courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction in those courts. If you are a consumer, you may also bring or defend a claim in your county of residence where applicable law gives you that right, and you keep the protection of any non-waivable law of your state of residence. Either party may bring an individual claim in any small-claims court (in Texas, a justice court) with jurisdiction.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply only going forward and do not apply to any dispute that arose before the change. If you have a claimed listing or a subscription, we will email you notice of any material change. If a change materially affects a paid subscription, including its price, we will email you 30 days before the change applies to your renewal, and you may cancel before then. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
17. Electronic Communications
You consent to receive notices, disclosures, confirmations, and receipts electronically, by email or on the Site, and you agree that electronic communications satisfy any requirement that they be in writing. Please keep your email address current.
18. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, Review Policy, and any terms shown at checkout, form the entire agreement between you and Strategic Peace about the Site. If a court finds any provision unenforceable, the court should modify it to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision does not waive it. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them to a successor in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond its reasonable control. These Terms create no third-party beneficiaries and no partnership, agency, or employment relationship. Headings are for convenience only, and "including" means "including without limitation."
